Pact is an app that pays incentives to do healthy things. You make a wager of how many times you’ll do something each week. If you meet your goals, you get paid. On the flip side, you pay your wager if you don’t meet your goals. This is what funds the winning for those who do meet their goals. So what can you get paid to do?
With the Gym Pact, you commit how many times per week you’ll work out. You can get credit for a day’s goal by running, going to the gym, biking, or completing 10,000 steps per day. This is monitored through apps or health bands like the FitBit, Jawbone Up, or Moves. At the time of writing this, I’ve been getting paid about $0.70 for each day that I hit this goal.
To get credit for the Veggie Pact, you’ll take a picture with your phone of the veggies you eat during the week and share it with the Pact community. Some of the pictures you’ll see are pretty funny. I once saw someone try to claim his giant sub with lettuce and tomatoes as a pact credit (that one didn’t go through).
Food Log Pact
By tracking your consumption with MyFitnessPal, you’ll get credit towards your Food Log Pact.
Nexercise is an app that turns workouts into what almost seems like a game. You can complete challenges, compete against friends, and earn metals. Most importantly, you can earn rewards the more you do.
This uses the old pledge idea where you get your friends and family to make a pledge towards your weight loss goals. Get paid to lose weight by hitting your goal.

To get paid to lose weight with DietBet, you place a wager and the pot fills with others who have also placed wagers. Everyone who hits the goal at the end of the time period splits the winnings. There are two wagers you can place:
- 4% in 4 Weeks or
- 10% in 6 Months
This website has long term goals starting at 6 months. You specify how much weight you’ll lose, how much time you want to lose it, and how much you’re willing to wager. You then click “Calculate My Bet” and they tell you what you’ll win if you hit your goal. There are also group and corporate contests, where you can win up to $10k.
